The Look of Love by Sarah Jio Review

The Look of Love is about a single woman at her twenty-nine years old who received a strange letter claims that she has the ability to see love. She needs to figure out six types of love before her thirtieth birthday.
You are wrong if you think this is a story about a unicorn, rainbow, and happily ever after. No, this isn't.
This is about searching, finding, dealing, and overcome love.

There is Elaine, a wife and mother of two children. She has a happy married life with her family but suddenly she felt like she found the missing piece of her heart from their new neighbor.
There is Lo who felt in love with a married man but separated.
There is Mary, married with a good looking musician and he's much on the road with his band lately.
Flynn who doesn't believe love but has different girls every night.
Mel, seventy years old man. His wife has passed away years ago but the grief is still sharp until now.
And then, Jane. She met a science writer who doesn't believe in love.

I couldn't fully enjoy this novel. I hate cheaters and read this from their POV still didn't gain a sympathy from me. If you want to be with another person then why don't you finish your current relationship first? I couldn't agree with Lo's decision or Elaine's. Indeed, we can't control who we want to felt in love with. But still... do we still have to pursue love when it arrives at the wrong person in the wrong time?

Rating 3/5 stars
