Rogue by Karen Lynch (Relentless #3) Review

Rogue was on my top three list "can't wait" book of 2015. That being said, I don't expect to have it less than 5 stars rating. I was literally obsessed with Relentless and Refuge and I've re-read them twice. Yes, I'm that obsessed with this series.

This book mainly told us about Sara and gang looking for vampire master and about Sara's Faerie and Mohiri training. Meeting with Madeline wasn't like I expected. It should have made me move but in reality, I don't feel anything. I don't enjoy her relationship with Nikolas as much as before they reveal their feeling for each other. And we finally got to know who was the master but I'm not satisfy with the disclosure. Remy is the one who could make me remember why I was so crazy over this series in the first place.

Maybe because I set my expectations too high, I ended up with disappointment. This book is still good, still, has kick ass moments, and I adore Nikolas no less than before. But I feel there is something missing in this book. I don't know, like the magic has gone. Maybe I've too fed up with Sara. Why she always got luck in everything? There is not a single thing in her life that she wasn't capable of. She befriends with everyone: every handsome boy in her town (Roland, Peter, Greg), every important person in Relentless world, has a hellhounds pet, protected by a wyvern, has the relationship with a number one warrior, master at everything, could bring a vampire back to life, and so on. Mary Sue enough?

Like I said, I was expecting Rogue to be more fantastic than this. Maybe 3 stars for the other series means an okay star, but 3 stars for Rogue is kind of a disappointment for me. I still love this series and I know I'll revisit Sara's world again in the future but this book... This book is the least my favorite in this trilogy.

Rating 3/5 stars
